Eagles Are Ready To Soar Into GHSA ………….Mt. Bethel Eagles

Ask any other coach in GHSA Single A Private, what has them worried about the upcoming 2018-2019 and its easy they will tell you Mt. Bethel is has left GICAA and will now be coming to GHSA. Mt Bethel is coming off Back 2 Back state titles in the GICAA.  Returning for Mt Bethel are Seniors Coleman Boyd (6’1) with just under 1000 career points and 500 assists thus far. He is the engine and floor general. Stanley Eze (6’5) senior Hugh motor kid averages a double double very athletic defender as well. Both players are getting several good looks from low D1 and D2 schools. The final senior is (6’3) Mason Venable who is a good shooter and jumps well. Junior Jordan Meka (6’8) big time prospect already has 250 career blocks in two years. Has a 7’1 wing span and has offers from UGA, Ga Tech, Mississippi St to Name a few. Harvard and Davidson like him as well as he is a very good student. Sophomores Jayce Harrison and Alex Langford will add scoring and quickness. Both are very good players. Last year as a freshman at Fellowship Jayce averaged 15 a game. Alex Langford played JV for N Cobb last year. Jayce is a combo guard and Alex is a 6’2 wing.Watching Mt. Bethel battle Buford at the GaHoopCircle Summer Explosion series this year and you realize they can hang with the big boys. While Single A private is loaded Greenforest, St Francis, Holy Innocents, Whitfield Academy, the Eagles are a serious threat to challenge for a state title. They are my pick to win the state title single A.
