Patriots Are Ready To March To Macon………Meeting the Sandy Creek Patriots

The question in Tyrone,Georgia right now is what will Coach Jon-Michael NIckerson do for a encore after his first season taking his squad to the Final Four. The Patriots finished the season 25-6, with a trip to the final four, only to lose to eventually State Champion Upson- Lee in the final four. The Patriots lost approximately 70% of our scoring, rebounding, & assist totals from last season (Jarred Godfrey, Chris Porter, Kameron Miller, Xavier Brewer). Team will be led by seniors TJ Bickerstaff (all state and 15 & 8 per game) and Julian Alexander (9p & 3r per game). The 3 most consistent players of the month of June where when we were playing great competition they proved that they were ‘’must haves’ on the court for us to be as good as we could be were TJ, junior point guard Matt Williams (also starting QB for fball team so won’t get him till late), & sophomore Deshon Proctor who ran w/ the 15u Ga Stars eybl team. Jabari Smith is a great young talent who will have his ups and downs but his potential over the long term is arguably as high as any player in his class. He went from 6’4 at end of last season and stands 6’8 now. Senior Shawn Hobson has the potential to be the Fayette county defensive player of the year. Keith Williams III is a 6’2 (6’8 wingspan) guard transfer in from Newnan HS who averaged 16p, 3r, & 3a as a soph.According to Coach Nickerson “We have a MONSTER non region schedule: Dacula, Fayette twice, Starr’s Mill, East Coweta, and Westlake”. Sandy Creek should be in the hunt to make run to make this year. Potential high major Bickerstaff, Alexander, Proctor, Williams, and the ever improving Smith should give teams a rough nights, .Don’t be surprised Sandy Creek in another Final 4, or State Championship Game.
