In a very tough region featuring Pace,Cedar Grove and Redan just to name a few, the Pirates who finished 2-20 last year will look to rebound with a new member to the staff and a few new additions. Coach Stroud will bring his son aboard who as new associate Head Coach Antoine Stroud . Young Stroud has made stops at Shiloh (where he coached Stroud coached Josh Okogie for 4 years while at Shiloh(20th pick in NBA draft this year) and Duluth with Coach Cabral Huff. They will also welcome new additions in 6”6 Samari Moore and PG Javon Rubin. We also return 3 starters in Shaun Hazleton(leading scorer from last season),Jacorrie Knolton and Mizor Ali. Coach Anthony Stroud is 2 wins from 300 Career Wins. Stone Mountain will look for Stroud, and a few newcomers to add some excitement into the program, the region is a tough one. But look for the Pirates to win more than 2 games this season.

Anytime you are able to start a program as the inaugural Head Coach for Coach Tyler Whitlock as exciting able to add your stamp, and own print to the program is always great. Whitlock comes to the Danes after spending one year as boys head coach at Johnson High in Hall County, during which the Knights went 7-19. Whitlock has experience coaching in Forsyth County, having spent time as an assistant and junior varsity head coach for West Forsyth head coach Fred Hurt. He also has experience as a girls head coach, spending two years at White County in that capacity. While the Danes will have a team that lacks varsity experience (no senior class), they will look to be competitive in the first season. The region features White County, Chestatee, Marist, Blessed Trinity, Flowery Branch, West Hall. Most of the Danes squad will be maybe up of former JV players from South and West Forsyth. They will look for experience and high level play from Sophmore Sutton Smith and Junior Adonis Easton -Tolbert. Also keep a eye on Michael Dougherty, Adrian Guitierrez, and Karson Kinneyy. Any time a new school opens there is ton of excitement, the Danes will be expected to suffer growing pains in their first year, but you can believe with his experience Coach Whitlock will have them ready to compete in Region play.
