  1. Georgia teams on the national scene: McEachern represents Georgia as the lone team in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25, they come in with a 4-0 record and ranked #7 in the polls. #1 Monteverde Academy, #2 IMG Academy, #3 Oak Hill Academy #4 Sierra Canyon #University #6 La Lumiere #7 McEachern #8 Imhotep #9 DeMatha #10 Rancho Christian.

2. ALL WE DO IS WIN WIN WIN NO MATTER WHAT: The Upson-Lee Knights are in possession of a 72            game winning streak, they came to Atlanta at the Hawks-Naismith and got a win over 2 time defending              state champion Langston Hughes 56-48.

3. Champions are rolling: Led by Coach Curtis Gilleylan, the 11-2 Meadowcreek Mustangs look like they            are poised to repeat as state champions. With a stifling defense, and some offensive firepower led by                Damian Dunn, Jalen Benjamin, Jamir Chaplin, and Kedrick Green, Emmanuel Collier, and Jammonie                Watkins-Causey this Meadowcreek team may be better than the team that won the state title a year ago.

4. Hey Don’t Forget About Us: Norcross has one of the deepest benches in the state and one of the best juniors in the country BJ Boston, Wheeler has restocked Cal commit Charles Smith, and point guard Denver commit Roscoe Eastmond make Wheeler a team to watch. Deivon Smith, one of the most  exciting guards in the state powers the Grayson Rams and a team that could go 11 deep. Pebblebrook with Jalen Harper and Devin Gordon are gonna make noise.

5. Party Crashers: Discovery led by Jaden Walker, look to crash the party out in Gwinnett County, Newton led by one of the best available bigs in Georgia Armani Harris, one of the best trey ball shooters around in Tyrease Brown, slasher Tre Clark and emerging guard Shawn Smith could be dangerous if they can get some help from their bench. 6. Guess whose coming to Dinner: The East Coweta Indians are for real folks, Chris Youngblood, and Brandon Stroud score the basketball, watch them break a few hearts in the state tournament.

7. Anybody can win it: 6A is wide open Alexander, Tri-Cities, Tucker, Brunswick, South Cobb are all usual suspects, while they are good teams there are a few new schools looking for respect. Coffee led by Jayce Moore, and Mackenzie McFadden are ready to put South Georgia on their back. Sprayberry’s Saigon Kitt wants to prove they belong in the conversation as the best team in 6A. 32 Minutes of Havoc, is the new culture at Mundy’s Mill, Jordan Black, Raquan Brown, Demarcus Feagin, make coach Dwight Callaway’s crew a fun team to watch. South Paulding, Lakeside Evans and Evans are teams trying to take the throne.

8. Looking for Competition come to Georgia: Georgia is the home to some of the best Holiday Classics, and events in the country. Teams come from all over the country to play in these Georgia events, Georgia has become true basketball capital of the south. The event organizers have put on some great events. and it will continue through Christmas, New Years, and the MLK Holidays.

9. Who is the best player in the class of 2019, 2020,2021: I don’t think it matters which class Anthony               “Ant Man” Edwards, from Holy Spirit is in he will be the #1 player. He has announced he reclassed to               2019, but 2019 is loaded Isaac Okoro, Jamir Chaplin, Charles Smith, Kyle Sturdivant, 2020 has Sharife             Cooper, Brandon Boston, Walker Kessler, Deivon Smith, Tyler Johnson, KD Johnson. Chance Moore from Holy Innocent might have stranglehold on the best player in 2021. But watch Zy Wright from Aquinas, Kowacie Reeves
